Description
Kenwood TK-260g, 5 watt, 8 channel VHF portable for only $79 plus shipping. These radios were used by a company to keep in touch with their employees.
CH 2 - 151.625 PL=100.0 Hz (also known as Red dot)
CH 3 - 151.700 PL=100.0 Hz
CH 4 - 151.760 PL=100.0 Hz
CH 5 - 151.955 PL=100.0 Hz (also known as Purple dot)
CH 6 - 154.570 PL=100.0 Hz (also known as Blue dot and MURS 4, narrow band)
These radios are programmed with common business itinerant frequencies. It is recommended that the buyer obtain proper licenses for the itinerant frequencies or have the unit reprogrammed.
Please note that although these radio will operate on MURS frequencies (Ch. 6 & 7) and are compatible with the $49 MURS radio and can be programmed for MURS and weather channels if requested. (They are not FCC certified for MURS operation.) Use of the business itinerant frequencies requires a license. End user is responsible for licensing and proper and legal operation of this radio.
Custom programming is available (free if you order 6 or more identically programmed) and can include any VHF frequency in the 144-174 MHz range including business, fire, police, weather and 2 meter amateur radio frequencies and can be any combination of wide or narrow band. Programming of public safety frequencies requires proof that the buyer is authorized to transmit on those frequencies.

Condition
Radio is used but is in very good operating condition and has only some very minor scratches. A matching black sticker covers some engraving by the previous owner on the front. (See photo)
Battery is used but in good shape and will hold a charge. Sold as-is but will not be DOA.
